Mounting Instructions for: Ski-Doo REV S.O.S. Part No. 14808
IMPORTANT!! If you are installing this SOS onto a 2004 REV, please contact PowerMadd
for the upgrade kit. This SOS only fits the 2003 REV.
HARDWARE INCLUDED: TOOLS REQUIRED:
Item Qty Description 10mm Wrench or Socket & Ratchet
1 1 Oil Carrier Spring Removal Tool
2 1 Mounting Bracket 3/8” Wrench
3 2 Carriage Bolt
4 2 Locking Nut
5 2 Bumper
6 1 Rubber Strap
WARNING: Read all instructions prior to installation. Never work
on a snowmobile with the engine running.
NOTE: The S.O.S. mounts directly to the chain case, but the oil
in the chain case does not need to be removed for installation and
will not leak from the chain case as long as the instructions are
followed.
Step 1: Mount the bracket to the carrier using the two
carriage bolts and lock nuts provided. Line up the
correct numbered hole on the bracket with the correct
numbered hole on the carrier.
Step 2: Attach the two bumpers to the back of the carrier.
NOTE: The adhesive is pressure sensitive, so the
more pressure you apply during installation the better
they will adhere. The bumpers cannot be removed
and repositioned, be sure they are positioned correctly
on the first try.
Step 3: Open the right side panel of the REV and locate the
chain case. Remove the spring for the exhaust
canister first. Then remove the two chain case cover
bolts where the bracket will mount. Arrows in the
picture pint to the bolts which need to be removed.
Step 4: Place the S.O.S. in position on the chain case and
reinstall the two bolts and exhaust spring.
